Rice University will welcome Robert Langer, one of the world’s most influential biotechnology innovators, for a keynote address as part of its President’s Lecture Series May 5.

Often referred to as the “Edison of Medicine,” Langer is a professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology known for foundational work in drug delivery and tissue engineering. In addition to his contributions to research, Langer has co-founded numerous biotech companies, including Moderna.
