Rice University’s radio station, KTRU, hosted its 33rd annual Outdoor Show March 29. The show is a free, all-day music festival traditionally held in the Central Quad, although inclement weather forced the program to move inside the Grand Hall at Rice Memorial Center.

Rice’s student-run radio station hosts the concert every year to continue its mission to promote local music throughout Houston. This year’s lineup included a student band, five local Houston music acts and the headliner, Laundry Day.

“Houston has a very vibrant, incredible music scene,” said Hanszen College senior Basma Bedawi, KTRU Outdoor Show director. “By throwing this concert each year, we allow Rice students to engage with this dynamic music scene and give acts an opportunity to perform for an excited crowd.”
