For the first Owls After Dark event of the semester, the Rice Student Center hosted a late-night Lego building competition Jan. 25 in the Rice Memorial Center’s Grand Hall.
“It’s been tough with only an hour on the line, but I think we’re going to do a good job and hopefully the judges will be impressed,” said Loving George ‘25 during the competition.
Open to students, faculty and staff, teams of up to four builders flocked to the student center to create Lego-brick models of all sorts of creatures, buildings and characters, including a Buc-ee’s gas station, players from Super Mario Bros and a minion from the “Despicable Me” movie franchise.
