Rice University will host its annual appreciation event to celebrate staff accomplishments on April 21 at 9:30 a.m. at Rice Memorial Center’s Grand Hall. Themed “excellence in action,” the gathering will include remarks by President Reginald DesRoches, acknowledgment of service anniversaries from five to 50 years in five-year increments and special recognition of notable employees.
Rice leadership will also present the Elizabeth Gillis Award for Exemplary Service, which is presented annually to a staff member who exhibits unflagging commitment to the university.
Staff may attend in person or via livestream. A light breakfast will be served at 8:30 a.m.
