Rice's custodial staff was honored recently during a reception and luncheon in the Rice Memorial Center’s Grand Hall. The event was held in lockstep with a national celebration that occurs yearly on the second week of September. The day is designed to recognize and celebrate custodial staff for their contributions to the efficient interactions in working and learning atmospheres.
The Housing and Dining and Facilities and Capital Planning departments ensure that the campus is clean and aesthetically pleasing in order to provide an environment in which the students, faculty and staff are inspired to achieve their goals and to make Rice a world-class institution for learning and research.
