Rice students and community members were invited to the Central Quad Feb. 22 by Chabad at Rice to participate in the group’s latest Mitzvah Marathon “good deed drive.” Activities for altruistic Owls included donating blood, making sandwiches for Houstonians experiencing homelessness, writing cards for children in local hospitals, providing swabs for the national blood marrow registry and donating canned food.
