Rice President David Leebron tweeted a personal message of support for Ukrainians around the world over the weekend in response to the invasion of their home country by Russian forces.
Leebron's tweet featured a photo of a samovar brought to the United States from Ukraine by his great-grandmother when her family moved in the late 1800s. "Today I feel concern and sadness for Ukrainians there, here and around the world at the tragedy and harm being inflicted by the outrageous invasion of the independent and democratic nation of Ukraine by (Russian President Vladimir) Putin," he wrote.
