To herald the second night of Hanukkah, Rice students and community members gathered Nov. 29 in the Graduate Commons courtyard by Valhalla for an evening of fellowship, song and tasty treats at this year’s menorah-lighting ceremony. Rice President David Leebron did the honors as guests enjoyed music from the Rice Marching Owl Band, as well as latkes and doughnuts provided by Chabad’s Rabbi Shmuli and Nechama Slonim.
