Students in Naoko Ozaki’s first-year Japanese course met for the first time face to face May 4 after a semester spent learning together online. Thanks to high vaccination rates and relaxed mask rules on campus, Ozaki — who also created an online cookbook with her second-year Japanese students last year — was able to treat her smiling students to Japanese snacks and games in person for their final class of the year.
