A special online President's Lecture Series homecoming event Oct. 27 will feature Barney Graham ’75 and Bill Gruber ’75, two alumni who are leading efforts to develop vaccine therapies for COVID-19.
Graham, the deputy director of the Vaccine Research Center at the National Institutes of Health's Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, and Gruber, senior vice president of vaccine clinical research and development at Pfizer, will look back at their journey from being Rice students and roommates to the front lines of developing a COVID-19 vaccine.
Yousif Shamoo, Rice vice provost for research, will moderate the session, and President David Leebron will make introductory remarks.
